Message the parents of your class
Send a message to all the parents of your class, or to the parents of children you choose, by SMS, email or the portal bell, now or later.
Message Parents is for the class teacher. You can only reach the parents of your own class.
Send a message
- Send to: choose All parents of my class, or Parents of children I choose and pick the children.
- Send by: tick how to reach them.

A channel the school has not set up, or does not allow teachers to use, is greyed out.
3. When to send: Send now, or Send later and choose the date and time. If the school uses quiet hours, SMS wait until they end.
4. Use a template (optional): start from a ready-made message. If your school lets teachers send only approved messages, you choose a template and cannot change the wording.
5. Subject: the email subject and the title on the bell notification.
6. Message: up to 1,000 characters. You can use {name} (the parent's name), {students} (their child or children) and {school}; they are filled in for each parent.
7. A summary shows how many parents will be reached by each channel, and how many cannot be reached.
8. Click Send message. You see "Message on its way" (or "Message scheduled").
What you cannot do
You cannot write to parents of other classes, to other teachers, or to all parents of the school. Those messages are sent by the school office.
Safe mode
A Safe mode is on notice means this copy of ShuleOS records SMS and email but does not really send them. It is used for demonstrations. Your school's live system does not show it.
If something goes wrong
