ShuleOS in your pocket.
The ShuleOS app brings the school to parents, pupils and teachers: attendance, results, fees, homework and messages, with a notification when something new arrives.
The app is being tested with our first schools. Ask about joining.
Real screens from the app, signed in to the ShuleOS Demo School.
Why an app
Keeping up with school should not be hard.
Most families in Tanzania have a phone before they have a computer. ShuleOS puts what the school already records where parents, pupils and teachers will see it.
Parents find out too late
Marks, absences and fee balances often reach families only at the end of term, when it is too late to help.
Notices get lost
Important school news is buried in busy WhatsApp groups, and private details are shared with everyone in them.
Teachers carry the paperwork home
Registers, mark sheets and comments are written by hand, then typed again by the office.
For parents
Every child in one place.
Brothers and sisters at the same school sit side by side: switch between them with one tap.
- Today's attendance and attendance by month
- Results, released report cards and their PDFs
- Fee balance, fees by type, arrears and receipts
- Homework, lessons, the timetable and the exam timetable
- The school calendar and messages from the school
For teachers
The register and the mark sheet, in your hand.
The daily work of a class teacher and a subject teacher, done from the classroom.
- Take the register, or scan the QR code on pupils' ID cards
- Enter marks for open exams, or paste them from a sheet
- Lesson plans, the curriculum and homework
- Message the parents of a class or of chosen children
- Your timetable, leave, attendance and payslips
For pupils
The school day, organised.
When the school switches on the student portal, pupils see their own day and nothing else.
- Today's timetable and the exam timetable
- Homework and lessons, with what is late
- Released results and report cards
- The school calendar and their own ID card

Notifications that matter
New messages, released results, fee reminders and, for teachers, leave decisions and payslips. Each kind can be switched off.
Private and secure
Each person sees only their own children or classes. Sign-in keys are kept in the phone's secure storage, and teachers can add a second sign-in step.
Phones and tablets
Made for small Android phones as well as iPhones and tablets, in light or dark.
Questions about the app
How do I sign in?
With the login your school gave you for the parent, student or teacher portal. The app does not have its own sign-up: your school creates your login.
Does my school need to do anything?
The school needs ShuleOS with the parent portal switched on for parents and pupils, and the teacher portal for teachers. The app then works with the logins the school already gives.
Which languages does it speak?
English and Swahili. Change it in the app at any time.
Can I pay fees in the app?
Not yet. The school office records payments, and the app shows the balance and receipts.
What does the app do with my information?
It shows you what the school has recorded and nothing more. See the mobile app section of our privacy policy.
Read the privacy policy for the app, get support, or see how to delete an account.
